Jackie Lee “Jack” Valentine, 73, of Cambridge, passed away Wednesday (January 13, 2021) at his home following a brief illness.
He was born September 5, 1947 in Cambridge and was the son of Clara (Meckley) Valentine of Cambridge and the late Clyde “Jiggs” Valentine.
Jack was employed with Smith Concrete, and formerly Cambridge Lumber. He was Methodist by faith and attended Byesville High School. He enjoyed hunting, Bass fishing and spending time with his family and friends, working around his home and tinkering in the garage.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by an infant son.
In addition to his mother e is survived by his wife of 54 years Becky (Sigman) Valentine whom he married October 15, 1966; one son, Jack (Laura) Valentine of Ravenna; one daughter Michelle (Steve) Lenarz of Pleasant City; two grandchildren, Brett Lenarz and Valerie Sue Valentine; numerous brother and sister in laws.
Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville with services to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Clayton Coffee officiating. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.
Friends and family are welcome, but due to Covid-19, MASKS ARE REQUIRED. Please take all precautions to ensure your own safety and everyone else’s should you decide to attend.
