Jackie Funk Obituary

Jackie Lynne Funk, 71, of Senecaville, passed away Sunday March 15, 2020 at the James Cancer Center in Columbus, surrounded by family.

She was born September 29, 1948 in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Thurman Fannin, and Betty (Bressi) Fannin, of Byesville.

Jackie retired after 50 years as a hairstylist, with several years as an Ohio State Inspector of Cosmetology. She was a 1966 graduate of Marlington High School in Canton. She enjoyed reading, gardening, shopping, being a hairdresser for family and friends, loved cleaning and baking, which is said she was the best at both. Jackie also loved Christmas, especially decorating, and spending time with her grandchildren, and family.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Dean Edward Rhoads, and second husband, Richard E. Funk, whom she married August 19, 1978, and passed away September, 10, 2006, a brother, Frank “Butch” Fannin, an infant brother, Calvin Fannin, and a sister, Ramona “Mo” Touvell.

Jackie is survived by two daughters, Tina Rhoads, Senecaville, and Stacey (Brad) Shaw, Chandler, AZ, four brothers, Thurman “Lee” (Harriet) Fannin Jr., Byesville, John (Charlene) Fannin, Byesville, Al Fannin, Salesville, and Terry (Lisa) Fannin, Byesville, two sisters, Marsha Hupp, Senecaville, and Annie (John) Epperson, Senecaville, a step-sister, Carol Touville, Buffalo, five grandchildren, Bo (April) Mason, Amber (Donny) Pacifico, Macenzie (Devon Duffy) Amos, and Mya and Aiden Tanner, six great-grandchildren, Mia and Dominic Pacifico, and Lola, Skylar, Aubreigh, and Paisley Mason, several nieces and nephews.

Private family calling hours will be held Thursday, with a public graveside service Friday at 12:00 p.m. in Senecaville Cemetery, with Evang. Mark Beros officiating.
