Janet Ann (Kear) Ramage, 94 , of Byesville, passed away peacefully Saturday (September 4, 2021) at her home.
She was born September 7, 1926 in Lore City the daughter of the late Albert Thomas and Mary Lyndsey (Park) Kear.
Janet was a graduate of Lore City High School. She and her husband Richard retired in 1985 after 37 years as co-owners of the former Ramage Royal Blue in Byesville. She was a member of Main Avenue United Methodist Church, and Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority, Phi Chapter. Some of her hobbies included golfing and oil painting, and she loved spending time with her family. She was deeply loved and respected by many.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ramage whom she married January 2, 1946 and passed away April 20, 2008; granddaughter Ashley Ramage; her sister Louise Rogers and her brother, Donald Kear; a son-in-law Jud Broom; brothers and sisters in-law, and lifelong friends.
She is survived by her oldest daughter, Kathy Broom and her children, Julie (Jerry) Paul and Matthew Broom; Kathy’s grandchildren, Hannah, Griffin, Leah, Owen and Emilienne.
Her second daughter, Jo Ellen McCance and her children, Erin (Joe) Hirsch and Lindsey (Justin) McCance, Quentin McCance and Julie Davis; Jo’s grandchildren, Jacob, Norah, Joey, Matt, Grace, Jonathan and Naomi.
Her third daughter, Cindy (Bruce) Webster and their children, Shane McManaway, Ben (Jess) McManaway, Lorie (Jason) Hamilton and Andy (Jenny) Webster; Cindy and Bruce’s grandchildren, Carter, Brady, Cooper, Macy, Lilyan, Zachary, Kenzie, Austin, Kaydi, Kayleigh and Karson, and three great grandchildren, Elayna, Noble and Jersey Lynn.
Her son, Rick (Debbie) Ramage and their children, Richard, Jud, Keara and Jack.
She is also survived by an adopted granddaughter, Emily Manzo, several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors; her loving caregivers whom she loved, Kathy Channell, Tabby Murphy, Joy Hannahs and Linda Brown.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday (September 8th) at Main Ave. United Methodist Church where services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Debbie Gheen officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
