Jason Dudley Obituary

Jason Matthew Dudley, 34, of Pleasant City, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Sunday (January 16, 2022) at Genesis Healthcare.

He was born November 20, 1987 in Cambridge, son of Ronald (Tammy) Dudley of New Concord and Becky (Greg Lambert) (Harper) Dudley of Pleasant City.

Jason was a 2006 graduate of Shenandoah High School. He was well liked by everyone he knew and met; he had an infectious smile that would light up the room.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan. He enjoyed watching movies, eating and woodworking.  The family has various notebooks filled with Jason’s autograph, as he loved writing his name. He also enjoyed listening to music, especially the Collingsworth Family.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank & Irene (Marquis) Dudley; nephew Ralphie Lambert; uncle Clayton Dudley and a cousin James Dodd.

In addition to his parents he is survived by one brother Jay (Megan) Dudley of Nashport and their 3 children, Braxton, Averie and Mason; one sister Carrie (Clint) Pekari of Lore City and their 4 children, Isaak, Isabella, Keely and Kasen; one step sister, Crystal (Dickie) Poland of Cumberland and their daughter Asie; one step-brother, Chad (Morgan) Lambert of Norwich and their children, Remi and Reece; maternal grandparents, Eber and Edith (Weaver) Harper of Buffalo; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville. Private services will be Friday with burial in Buffalo Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers Jason’s family requests memorial donations be made to the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Cancer Center, 700 Children’s Drive
Columbus, OH 43205.

The family has requested…If attending the visitation please wear a mask due to Covid-19. Please take all precautions to ensure your own safety and everyone else’s should you decide to attend.
