Kathie Lashley Obituary

Kathie A. Lashley, 65, of Buffalo, passed away Sunday November 29, 2020 at SEORMC in Cambridge.

She was born August 13, 1955 in Cambridge, the daughter of the late James Kinnen and Doris (Secrest) Chalfant.

Kathie was a homemaker, and also worked as a nurses aid for over 20 years at several local nursing homes. She was a 1973 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, and a long-time member of Byesville Main Avenue United Methodist Church, where she served as a PPR board member. Kathie enjoyed watching TV, especially watching the Steelers, and Pirates, shopping with her late husband Bob, and time spent with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob"  Lashley, whom she married 12/23/1981, and passed away 6/5/2010, and an infant daughter, Jodie Lashley.

Kathie is survived by her two daughters, Doris Johnson, and Sarah Lashley, both of Buffalo, two brothers, James Kinnen, and John(Pam) Kinnen, both of Caldwell, two sisters, Alice Blackstone, and Debbie (Randy Spratt) Ansberry, both of Byesville, three grandsons, John, Maverick, and Seth Johnson, very special friend, Pastor Nancy Parsons, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Main Avenue United Methodist Church in Byesville, where services will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Nancy Parsons officiating.

Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.

Family and friends are welcome, but due to Covid-19, MASKS ARE REQUIRED. Please take necessary precautions to ensure your safety, and the safety of others, should you decide to attend.
