Kennon Joseph “Joe” Potts, 53, went home to be with his Lord and Savior unexpectedly on October 23, 2021 at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, with his wife by his side.
He was born February 4, 1968 in Cambridge, son of Donald “Luke” Potts and Mary (Mercer) Potts.
A 1986 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, Joe was the owner of Skunk Hollow Farms. He was a proud member of the County and State Farm Bureau, as well as the State and National Cattlemen’s Association. He was also a longtime employee of Richland Township and worked at Senecaville Cemetery with his dad.
He was a Christian in faith. The light of his life was his family, most especially his grandkids. He made sure to see all sporting events, school events, and any performances that his grandkids were a part of. He’d make the time, even in the middle of the day, for that random four-wheeler or tractor ride.
He never knew a stranger and was loved & respected by many.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lori Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Diana (Valentine) Potts, whom he married December 16, 2000; his parents, Donald “Luke” Potts and Mary Potts both of Senecaville; a son, George (Shala) Bebout of Senecaville; two daughters, Dawna (Mark) McLear of Salesville and Valerie (Joe) McNutt of Senecaville; three brothers, Eddie (Sherri) Potts of Salesville, John (Sonja) Potts of Salesville, and Jason Isom of Alabama; two sisters, Cheryl Budget of Chico CA and Susan (Bill) Saintenoy of Byesville; six grandchildren, Chance Armentrout, Jonathon McNutt, Harmony McNutt, Bentley Bebout, Kimberlyn Bebout, and Hoyt McLear; and several nieces & nephews.
