Larry Richard Tedrick, 69, of Cambridge, passed away unexpectedly at home Monday (May 11, 2020).
He was born April 11, 1951 in Guernsey Co. and was the son of the late Fred “Slim” and Anna Mae (Carmen) Tedrick.
Larry was a 1969 graduate of Meadowbrook High School. He worked for Jim Palmer, later Shelly and Sands, and owned and operated his own dump truck. He was a member of the Laborers & Operators Union, a social member of Byesville VFW #3760, and served with the Guernsey County Veterans Council. He was formerly very active in Guernsey County youth sports, he coached mini Colt football and was also an umpire for Little League baseball for many years. Larry was always willing to help others, and he loved animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stillborn sister; uncles, Jim and Virgil Tedrick; John Roomsburg, and his dog Toby.
Larry is survived by his long time companion of 40 years, Mary Roederer and her extended family; Trent & Paula Roederer of Byesville and Tracie Roomsburg of Virginia Beach, VA.; grandchildren, Taylor Roomsburg, Tori (Seth) Cowgill, Tia (Jalil Carter) Theodosopoulos, Skylar Roederer, Ethan and Caden Stoldt; great grandchildren, Camden and Bronson Cowgill, and Jaylee and Mia Theo-Carter.
