Leroy Earl “Butch” Netting, 69, of Byesville passed away Tuesday (April 21, 2020) at his parents’ home.
He was born May 5, 1950 in Cambridge and was the son of Eugene “Tuck” and Marian (Beebe) Netting of Byesville.
Butch was a 1968 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, a Navy veteran, and a long time Pastor at Aliquippa Free Methodist Church in PA, also at several other churches. He was currently a member of Byesville Assembly of God where he was a board member and active in the food pantry. After retiring he worked for TSA as airport security. He loved to golf, and was an avid fan of all Pittsburgh sports, playing cards, Ohio State University Buckeye fan and spending time with his grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was a brother Gene Netting.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susan (Henry) Netting whom he married May 5, 1979; three sons, Robert (Sarah) Netting of Pittsburgh, PA, David (Marty) Netting of of Standardsville, VA, and Elijah (Tammy) Netting of Pittsburgh; one daughter Rachel (Robert) Boring of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren, Addie, Ethan, Elliott, Kayla, Robert and Cayden; sister-in-law Bonnie Netting of Byesville; Nephews, Roy (Michelle) Netting, Ryan Netting and Rudy (Susan Sigman) Netting; several great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private family services will be at Byesville Assembly of God with Pastor Joe Summers officiating.
