Margie Palmer Obituary

Margie Marilyn (Price) Palmer passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, Beth (Randy) Smith and surrounded by her family, on Sunday August 30, 2020. She was 96 years old.

 She was born in Bunnell, Florida on June 19, 1924 to Mabel B. (Byrd) and William B. Price.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Byesville, since 1955 and a member of the Ladies Missionary Fellowship.

 She married James W. Palmer on October 28, 1945 in Panama City, Florida.  He was the son of Earl “Red” and Martha (Thompson) Palmer of Byesville.

 She loved traveling, boating, and fishing with her husband, Jim.  She enjoyed her bookwork, crocheting and sewing with her Missionary group and playing cards with her neighbors Ted and Betty Nichols.  She was the owner of Greenwood Mobile Home Estates, Byesville.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband;  James (5/17/2009) and a daughter;  Janice Gail Palmer (1947-1957); her brother, Lawrence Joseph Price, and a nephew Larry Price, both of St. Petersburg, FL.

 She is survived by one sister, Willie Mae Crawford of Port Orange, FL; two daughters, Linda (John) Wilkelman of Pleasant City and Elizabeth (Randy) Smith of Port Orange; God-Daughter, Vivian (Bill) Matheson of Port Orange; three granddaughters, Kelly Winkleman of Pleasant City, Brandi (Mark) Gibson of Barnesville, and Tiffany (Jarrod) Stabley of Port Orange; one grandson, Jared (Jessica) Winkleman of Pleasant City; two step-grandchildren, Michael (Melinda) Smith of New Concord and Angela (John) Varwig of Richmond, KY; great grandchildren, Tori (Patrick) Endly, Steven Kraizel IV, Kamryn Gramlich, Ariel Bates, Jarica and Jaelee Wilkleman, Kylie and Evan Stabley, Brittany, Darren and Claire Smith, and Hailee and Taylor Varwig; great great grandchildren, Brayden and Elena Endly, Valerie Bates, Isabella Campbell and Grayson Varwig; and many loving nieces and nephews.

 Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (September 9, 2020) at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville for family and friends. Pastor Dennis Rost will be officiating.
