Marilyn Y. Burns age 84 of Senecaville, formerly of New Albany and Reynoldsburg passed away on Saturday December 18, 2021 @ Genesis Healthcare in Zanesville. She was born on March 9, 1937 in Rio Grande, a daughter to the late Wendell and Audrey (Petrie) Wickline, in addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three brothers David, Paul, and Wendell and three sisters Jolene Oney, Patricia Smith, and Marlene Wickline.
Mrs. Burns was a 1955 graduate of Rio Grande high school, and was the head bookkeeper for Western Electric for 25 years, retiring in 1989. Marilyn and her husband David are members of Cambridge First Baptist church.
Survivors include her husband, David Burns whom she married on May 29, 1969, a daughter Kelly (Richard) Scott of Newark, a sister Beverly “Sue” Houck of Gallipolis, two sisters in law Ann Wickline and Janet Wickline both of Gallipolis, two grandchildren Capt. Catherine O’Brien currently serving in the USAF, and Benjamin (Katherine) O’Brien of Baltimore, Ohio, several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Monday December 20, 2021 @ Senecaville cemetery beginning at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Towers to Tunnel or Habitat for Humanity in her Memory.
