Marjorie J. “Marge” (Tucker) Ruby, 82, of Byesville passed away Monday (November 8, 2021) at Cardinal Place in Cambridge.
She was born July 11, 1939 in Byesville and was the daughter of the late John T. and Beulah I. (Butler) Tucker.
Mrs. Ruby retired after 19 years of service at the former Guernsey Memorial Hospital and 21 years at the former Cambridge State Hospital.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cambridge, and was a 1957 graduate of Byesville High School. She loved to cook and bake, especially when teaching her nieces how to bake raisin filled cookies, reading, and working puzzle books.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gale Ruby whom she married November 9, 1968 and passed away October 7, 2021; six brothers, Fred, Bob, Myron, Ralph, Jack and Walter; four sisters, Edith, Effie, Betty and Pat.
She is survived by; one brother, Clarence (Karen) Tucker of Gallipolis; several special nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville with services to follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Tina Gallaher officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
