Marjorie Ann Thompson, 85, Byesville, passed away Saturday July 27, 2019 at her home, surrounded by family.
She was born August 19, 1933 in Byesville, a daughter to the late John and Cleo Bond Kostelnik.
Marjorie retired from the Cambridge Mental Health Center(former Cambridge State Hospital) after several years of
dedicated service. She was a long-time member of the Beckett Ave. United Methodist Church in Cambridge, where
she was a member of the United Methodist women’s club, and a 1951 graduate of Byesville High School.
Marjorie loved walking, reading her bible, crafts, and time spent with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Thompson, her brothers, Raymond, William, and Robert Kostelnik, and her sisters, Alberta and Lois Mason, and Barbara Kostelnik.
Surviving Marjorie, are her 3 sons, Kevin (Barb) Thompson, Byesville, Charles (Reda) Thompson, Cambridge, and Brian (Michelle) Thompson, Fredricktown, her daughter, Denise (Rod) Miller, Bethesda, 2 brothers, Donald (Betty) Kostelnik, Tacoma, WA, and John(Linda) Kostelnik, Byesville, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 3:00 – 6:00 pm, and Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Black-Epperson Funeral Home in Byesville, where services will follow at 11:00 am, with Pastor Randy Mercer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
