Mary Ellen Palmer, 84, of Byesville, passed away Friday (May 19, 2023) at the Beckett House, New Concord.
She was born March 13, 1939 in Newcomerstown, daughter of the late Albert Ogle Sr. and Edith (Spencer) Ogle.
Mary was the co-owner and manager of Holiday TV Sales, a credit investigator for the Florida State Bank, and a project coordinator for the Orange Bank all in Holiday FL. She had also worked as an office manager for Dillards and Michaels.
She had formerly lived in Burlington NC, St. Petersburg FL, and Tarpon Springs FL. Mary enjoyed sewing and was a highly skilled seamstress – always altering items for family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack (Janet) Ogle, John (Susan) Ogle, and Albert “Bud” Ogle; a sister, Eileen (Wilbur) Hess a daughter, Cynthia Kay Rich; two nephews, John “Boo” Ogle Jr. and Kevin Diss; and the father of her children, Herman Horn.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Frank) Burr and Christina (Keith) Tolbert; a brother, Charles Ogle; a sister, Maxine (Lyle) Shaw; a sister-in-law, Karen Ogle; six grandchildren, James (Katie) Denham, William Denham, Celina Tolbert, Ciara Tolbert, Benjamin Burr, and Brandon Burr; and several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday (May 22, 2023) from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Northwood Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. with Evan. Mark Beros officiating.
Entombment will follow at the Northwood Cemetery Mausoleum, Cambridge.
