Melvin “Butch” L. Eubanks, 84, of Byesville, passed away Tuesday (November 7, 2023) at Astoria Place of Cambridge.
He was born May 28, 1939 in Byesville, son of the late Kermit and Thelma (Jackson) Eubanks.
A 1957 graduate of Byesville High School, Butch retired from AMG Vanadium Corporation of Byesville after thirty-nine years of service.
He attended the NewPointe Church and loved reading the Bible whenever he could.
Butch enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending all of their sporting activities throughout the years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Greg.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of sixty-four years, Judy (Wallace) Eubanks; two sons, Bryan (Val) and Gerald “Butch”; a daughter, Melissa; two brothers, Kermit (Jean) and Gary; a sister, Jackie Merritt; six grandchildren, Jason (Kelly), Jessica (Brian), Joshua (Lacy), Jarod (Kyla), Zachary (Dylan), and Megan; fourteen great-grandchildren, Bryson, Kelsey, Hunter, Ethan, Maddison, Casey, Hannah, Jacey, Weslie, Neva, Bella, Nate, Adalie, and Asher; a great-great-grandson, Banks; and a host of nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday (November 10, 2023) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Evan Greathouse officiating.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
