Mildred Jackson Obituary

Mildred “Midge” Evelyn Jackson, 94, passed away Monday (September 19, 2022) at Beckett House in New Concord.

She was born January 30, 1928 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Paul and Jenna (Robinett) Holmes.

Midge had worked at RCA and later retired from NCR.  She was a long-time member of the Stop 9 Church of Christ in Byesville.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and her church family at Stop 9 Church of Christ.  She loved attending the Golden 60’s, writing poems and stories, doing word search puzzles, and riding motorcycles with her husband back in the day.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Gene” S. Jackson, who died June 27, 2000.  They were married December 31, 1949.  Also deceased is a son, Paul Gary Jackson; a son-in-law, David Vandrasik; and a granddaughter, Stacie Marie Vandrasik.

She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Vandrasik of Cambridge; her son, Greg (Shirley) Jackson of Lore City; her sister, Wilma Johnson of Lima; her sister-in-law, Darlene Harding of Dublin; her daughter-in-law, Terena Jackson of Cambridge; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and step-great-great-grandchildren.

Per her request, there will be no calling hours nor funeral service.

As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to The Golden 60’s, c/o Stop 9 Church of Christ, 60330 Southgate Road, Byesville OH 43723.
