Nancy Lee (Wade) Pierce Gray, 75, of Cambridge, passed away Saturday (April 1, 2023) surrounded by her loved ones at Genesis of Zanesville.
She was born April 1, 1948 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Arnold Wade and Sarah (Moyer) Wade.
A graduate of Byesville High School, Nancy worked as a housekeeper for several years.
Family meant the world to her and she cherished spending time with them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Pierce; two daughters-in-law, Lisa and Billie Pierce; five brothers, Arnold, Harold, Edward, James, and Robert Wade; and two sisters, Norma Moyer and Elizabeth Wade.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Melvin Gray Jr., whom she married August 4, 1988; five sons, Joe (Jackie) Pierce of Byesville, Jason (Michele) Pierce of Cambridge, Jacob (Billi) Pierce of Cambridge, Josh Pierce of Cambridge, and Melvin (Jana) Gray of New Concord; a daughter, Jeannie (Ben) Carpenter of Cambridge; seventeen grandchildren, Jennifer (Troy) Carpenter of Salesville, Joey (Tori) Pierce of Byesville, Jeremy (Lindsay) Pierce of Byesville, Justin (Shelby) Pierce of Byesville, Jessica (Jeremy) Pierce of Byesville, Amber (Chris) Carte of Cambridge, Christopher (Carlie) Pierce of Byesville, Taylor (Stephen) Storch of Cleveland, Erica (Anthony) Pierce of Byesville, Erin (Dakota) Pierce of Byesville, Kenzie (Justin) Pierce of Cambridge, Kirsten Pierce of Cambridge, Brianna (Cole) Briggs of Westerville, Sawyer (Megan) Burt of Kimbolton, Adam Carpenter of Byesville, Dalton (Jessica) Kirkman of Cambridge, and Jordan Gray of Cambridge; twenty great-grandchildren, Ally and Owen Carpenter, Jema Pierce, Gracie and Jhett Pierce, Easton and Braxton Pierce, Bryleigh, Bexleigh and Kaisen Miller, Bailey and Jackson Potopsky, Tymparannce Abrams, Hieress Pierce, Jade Storch, Grayson and Hailey Carte, Braxton Rigaudon, Millie and Finley Briggs; two sisters, Judy (Roger) Smith and Patricia (Cecil) Peters; and several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday (April 6, 2023) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m.
Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
