Nancy A. Tipton 83 of Senecaville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday Jan. 31, 2020 at her home. She was born on July 23, 1936 in Senecaville a daughter to the late Kenneth and Ruth (Casner) Callahan, in addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Howard and two sisters, Mary Ellen Pleak and Jo Malernee.
Mrs. Tipton was a 1954 graduate of Senecaville high school, and was employed for 34 years at March Electric before retiring in 1998. She was a member of the Senecaville United Methodist church, where she sang in the choir and served with the UMWC. Nancy volunteered at the Secrest Senior Center and maintained the monthly covered dish event which meant so much to so many, she also served briefly on the board. Her spare time was spent going to yard sales, spending time with her family, especially holidays, taking photographs which filled several albums, and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years Jack Tipton whom she married on March 9, 1956, a daughter Theresa (David) Lowry of Cambridge, a son Jack (Lynette) Tipton of Cambridge, 6 grandchildren Shawn (Molly) Lowry, Justin (Allison) Lowry, Sarah (Ricky) Ryan, Brandon (Lacy Black) Lowry, Kohler Tipton, and Lindsay Tipton, 7 great grandchildren Kody, Harvey, Andilyn, Madison, Easton, Cale, and Kenli, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 at Black-Epperson funeral home in Senecaville, with funeral services scheduled for Tuesday @ 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh and Pastor Karen Rawlins officiating. Burial to follow at Senecaville Cemetery.
