Paul “Allan” Skeslock, 71, of Pleasant City, passed away Saturday (January 24, 2021) at SEORMC.
He was born February 8, 1949 in Cleveland and was the son of the late Paul and Catherine (Hudymac) Skeslock.
Allan retired from Central Ohio Coal Co. after 48 years of service. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Belle Valley American Legion #641, Cambridge VFW #2901, and Masonic Pleasant Valley Lodge and a graduate of Meadowbrook High School. He loved to build engines (especially go kart engines), he could build and fix just about everything.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Gerald.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years Rebecca D. “Becky” (Gerdau) Skeslock whom he married February 14, 2001; one daughter Sara (Brian) Mesarchik of Mt. Vernon; three step-daughters, Heather (Mark) Shahan, of North Carolina, Jessica (Mike) Smith of Marietta and Sheena (Craig) Critzer of North Carolina; one sister Karen (Bob Denver) Skeslock of Senecaville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville. Military honors will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
