Paula "Susie" McElroy Obituary

Paula Sue “Susie” McElroy, 62, of Quaker City, died Thursday (June 16, 2022) at her home.

She was born June 9, 1960 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Paul McElroy Sr. and Patsy (Clewell) McElroy.

Susie was the former owner of Korte’s Tavern.  She most recently was employed at Cracker Barrel of Cambridge.

She attended Meadowbrook High School.  She was a member of the Buffalo VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Susie enjoyed riding motorcycles with her fiancé, Curtis.  She also liked watching old Western movies.  She cherished spending time with her family and her pets.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Cheryl Neff.

She is survived by a son, Paul David Hahn of Quaker City; two daughters, Hope (Dave) Schaffer of California and Helen (Mark) Teeter of Lore City; her fiancé, Curtis R. Green of Quaker City; four brothers, Paul (Alma) McElroy Jr. of Oak Harbor WA, Terry McElroy of Byesville, Jack (Sue) McElroy of Cambridge, and Robert “Bullett” McElroy of Byesville; a sister, Tracy (John) Marchiano of Senecaville; two grandchildren, Hailey Hewison and Hunter Hewison; her lifelong friend, Laverne McElroy of Byesville; and several nieces & nephews.

No calling hours will be observed.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
