Obituary

Ralph Lajoie Long, 86, of Byesville, passed away Friday (May 5, 2023) at Southeastern Med, Cambridge.

He was born March 22, 1937 in Noble County, son of the late Glen Roscoe Long and Chloe Irene (Fogle) Long.

Ralph was a deputy sheriff in Maricopa County, Arizona, for many years.

He was a US Air Force veteran, having served from 1958 to 1964.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Marvin L. Long; and four sisters.

Ralph is survived by his companion, Judy Baze of Byesville; three sons, Glen J. Long, Jeffrey L. Long, and Kevin D. Long all of Spokane WA; a daughter, Bethany D. Maquette of Spokane WA; a stepson, Vaughan (Tracy) Higgins; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

No calling hours will be observed.  No funeral services will be held at this time.

Burial will be at Sharon Cemetery, at a later date.
