Ralph Wayne Wetzel, 75, of Old Washington, passed away Sunday (August 16, 2020) at his home.
He was born June 30, 1945 in Wheeling, WV and was the son of the late Clyde and Opal (Mercer) Wetzel.
Mr. Wetzel was a former employee of NCR and was a computer consultant. He was a member of Old Washington United Methodist Church, a 1964 graduate of Cadiz High School, and Sportsman’s Haven Gun Club where he was a youth instructor. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and Naval Reserve member during the Vietnam War. He also served with the Guernsey County Color Guard Veterans Council. Ralph was a member of NRA, and was an avid game bird hunter and trap shooter.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Aileen Lukacena and Marcella Wiseman; one brother Jim Wetzel.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Diana (Pike) Wetzel whom he married August 5, 1970; one sister Mary Ann (John) Mangus of Quaker City; several nieces and nephews, Debra Lukacena, Wayne (Lynn) Lukacena, Joseph (Rachel) Lukacena, Janine (Vince) Dowdle, Gayle (Jerry) Nudelman, Donald Keefer, Randy (Iris) Cologie, Stephanie (Mike) McClain and John (Denise) Keefer; several great nieces and nephews.
No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
