Raymond Cordray, 80, passed away Thursday (December 17, 2020) at Union Hospital in Dover.
He was born February 13, 1940 in Holmes County and was the son of the late Ray and Ada Lilly (Hershberger) Cordray.
Mr. Cordray was a self-employed truck driver, and was an Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Stop Nine Church of Christ, Moose Lodge #631, Eagles Aerie #386, and a life time member of VFW #3463, Dover.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a half-sister Ella Butler; a brother Paul; and grandparents John and Mary Hershberger.
He is survived by four sons, Timothy L. (Tina Levengood) Cordray of Bowerston, John D. (Shannon)Cordray of Mineral City, Steven Cordray of Canton and Troy (Stacy) Cordray of Dover; one half-sister Sue (Terry) Lattavo of Canton;a sister in law Judy Cordray of Shreve; five grandchildren, Ryan, Heather, Timothy, Kirkland, and Jillian; five great grandchildren; and long-time companion Margie Addis of Byesville.
Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Monday at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville where services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Evangelist Woody Biggs officiating. Burial to follow in Guernsey Memory Gardens, and Military Honors will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
