Raymond Roe Obituary

Raymond Dean Roe, 84, of Cambridge, passed away Wednesday (October 13, 2021) at Altercare of Cambridge.

He was born January 10, 1937 in Salesville, son of the late John G. Roe and Iona (Stillion) Roe Henderson.

Raymond was a member of the Operator Engineers for 35 years and retired in 1998.  He attended Salesville schools, was a member of New Concord Church of Christ and an U.S. Army veteran.  He enjoyed golfing, fishing and working on his farm.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Melinda Hopkins; five brothers, Bud, Wilfred, Richard, James and Jerry; six sisters, Katherine, Pauline, Madge, Ginny, Dolly and Judy; several in laws and nieces and nephews.

He is survived by one daughter, Brenda (Tim) Blake of Nashport; one brother Robert (Wanda) Roe of CA; one sister Ruth Foraker of Utah; six grandsons, Jordan Huffstutler, Brennan & Taylor Lehotay, Zakk Hopkins, Alec & Caden Blake; two great grandchildren, Jaxen and Rylee Huffstutler; two step-grandchildren, Tayler and Kevin Blake; former spouse and mother of his children, Wilma Roe; one son-in-law Rick Hopkins.

Visitation will be Tuesday (Oct, 19th) from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville where services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Evangelist Terry Townsend officiating.  Burial will follow in Salesville Cemetery.
