Rebecca J. “Becky” Callihan Thompson, 68, of Cambridge, passed away Monday (December 13, 2021) at SEORMC.
She was born March 7, 1953 in Cambridge, daughter of the late James Callihan and Annabelle (Bennett) Callihan.
Mrs. Thompson retired from WalMart after 15 years of service, and had previously worked at Head Start for several years. She was a member of House of Prayer, a graduate of Cambridge High School. She was a Past President of Byesville VFW Ladies Aux. #3760. Becky enjoyed crocheting, spending time with her grandchildren, going to church, baking, and was a good friend to everyone.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Sherry Sickles.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Jim Thompson; two sons, Matt (Wendy) Robinson of Savannah, GA and Mark Robinson of Parkersburg, WV; two step-daughters, Maria )Kit) Sutor of Columbia, SC and Mindy (Aaron) Huffman of Mansfield, MO; one brother Jim (Jamie) Callihan of Cambridge; two sisters, Sandy (Ron) Rankin) of Byesville and Karen (Bob) Edwards of Cambridge; grandchildren, Francesca, Callie, Mackenzie, Alex, Brooke, Christian, Hailey, Abby, Layla, Taylor and Dakota; step mother Elaine Callihan of Byesville; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday (December 27, 2021) at the House of Prayer, Byesville. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
