Richard Max “Dick” Burt, 93, of Byesville passed away Saturday (October 10, 2020) at Astoria Place.
He was born August 26, 1927 in Akron and was the son of the late William A. and Wilma A. (Burt) Fazzion.
Dick was a 1948 graduate of Pleasant City High School, a former employee of Ekco, Freuhauf in Akron, RCA for 12 years, and retired in 1991 from the former Foote Mineral after 27 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and the United Steel Workers Union. Dick enjoyed watching the Dodgers, Indians, Browns and Ohio State.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie “Jean” (Barclay) Nichols Burt whom he married September 20, 1952 and passed away August 4, 1996; one step-daughter, Patricia C. Reid; one step-son, David W. Nichols; step son-in-law and John Reid.
He is survived by two step-daughters, Mary Jane Jerles of Senecaville, and Joanne Everhart of Maumee; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; special friends, Rick and Cheryl Stoldt, Mark & Sandy Ogle, Roberta Harra.
Graveside services will be Saturday November 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery.
