Robert David Caughron “David" 50, entered the presence of his Lord and savior, Jesus on November 22, 2022 following an accident.
He was born April 24, 1972 in Memphis TN. He was the son of Cheryle Wallis and the late Robert D. Caughron.
David held an associates degree in Electronics and in electrical engineering. He had a great work ethic having learned many skills at a very young age by going to work with his father. David worked as an electrician and a handyman. David was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church of Byesville, OH
Everyone who knew David well was keenly aware that he loved to tell (mostly corny) jokes. You could frequently hear him singing and he often quipped that he “sang like a man in jail; behind a few bars and can’t find the keys.” David also enjoyed playing board games with friends and family. He was a fan of the Star Trek series as well.
The outstanding thing to remember about him is how much he loved his family. If he were here today, he would say to them “When you think of me, remember me as always loving you.” David was a servant, always giving and asking little or nothing in return. He was the best example of the 1st Corinthians 13 love chapter. He will be dearly missed, and we await the day we will join him in Heaven.
He is survived by his mother, Cheryle Wallis of Elizabethtown KY; two sons, Timothy David and James Gordon; two daughters, Rebeka Joy and Jennifer Grace; three sisters, Sheri (Russell) Webber of Shephardsville KY, Jeannie (Michael) Shaffer of Ashtabula, and Melissa Janssen of Elizabethtown KY; several nieces & nephews; and his children's mother, Madelyn Caughron.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday (November 27, 2022) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Antrim Mennonite School (20360 Cadiz Road, Freeport OH 43973).
Visitation will be held Monday (November 28, 2022) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church (245 S 6th Street, Byesville OH) where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Deacon Eric Fehrman officiating.
