Shelly Sue (Spratt) Sherman, 51, of Cambridge, passed away at her home on Friday June 26, 2020 following a courageous 7 year battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born in Barnesville, Ohio on Sept. 8, 1968 to Richard Spratt and the late Linda (Donley) Carpenter.
Shelly was a 1986 graduate of Buckeye Trail high school, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 7371 in Kipling, where she was a former bar tender. She was well known as an excellent cook and baker amongst her family and friends.
Survivors include her father Ronnie Carpenter of Quaker City, a son James (Amber) Scurlock of Salesville, a grandson Shaw Herbert Scurlock, her siblings Rick (Elisha) Spratt of Quaker City, Ronda Povlinko of Cambridge, Randy Spratt of Byesville, Kristi (Mike) Burnette of Dublin, and David (Kellie) Spratt of Lore City, her former sister in law Stacey Spratt, numerous nieces and nephews, countless friends, and her companion Tyler Gerdau.
A celebration of Shelly’s life will be held on Saturday July 11, 2020 @ the Kipling VFW from 3:00-8:00 p.m.
