Roy C. Allen, 80, of Buffalo, passed away Thursday (July 2, 2020) at his home.
He was born February 3, 1940 in Bellaire, and was the son of the late Christy Clinton Allen and Geneva Florence (McVay) Chismar.
Mr. Allen was employed at the former Dana Corp. for 30 years before retiring. He attended Lore City United Methodist Church, and was an Army veteran. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, Big John’s Sportsman’s Club, yard sales, being outdoors and mowing grass.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Steve Allen.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mildred L. “Mil” (Gerdau ) Allen whom he married September 11, 1958 ; one son, Mike (Jennifer) Allen of Senecaville; three daughters, Diane (Jerry) Haught of Pleasant City, Denise (Bill) Morse of Canton and Krista (Joel) Jerles of Senecaville; a daughter-in-law, Kim Allen of Cambridge; one sister, Roseanne (Tom) Allen Russell of Senecaville; 15 grandchildren, Milisha, Justin, Jeremy, Erin, Sarah, Michael, Chelsee, Camee, Steven, Josh, Cody, Cory, Cole, Rosie and Rochelle; 23 great grandchildren; and his dog Mitzi.
Private graveside services will be held Tuesday (July 7, 2020) at Buffalo Cemetery with Rev. Clayton Coffey officiating.
