Ruth A. Black, 65, of Byesville, passed away Monday (October 9, 2023) at her home.
She was born March 11, 1958 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Leo Sinnett and Betty (Allender) Sinnett.
A graduate of Meadowbrook High School, Ruth worked as a caregiver in the home health care industry for many years.
Some of her favorite things were playing bingo, going fishing, and going camping. She also loved to bake whenever she could.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Black, who passed away August 27, 1997; two sisters, Sue Miller and Phyllis Garner; and a brother, David Bell.
Ruth is survived by a son, Brian Black of Byesville; a daughter, Jennifer (Kevin) Dickey of Cambridge; sisters and brothers, Sandra Sinnett, Barb (Sonny) Stafford, Deb Black, Kevin (Heidi) Black, Nanette (Forest) Gano, Terry (Sandy) Milner, and Butch Black; five grandchildren, Jaden (Cody) Oliver, Jynzson Dickey, Bryan Black, Jason Black, and Donavan Black; several great-grandchildren; and her dog Pumpkin, whom she loved dearly.
