Scott Charles Lashley, 54, of Cumberland passed away unexpectedly Wednesday February 17, 2021.
He was born in Cambridge on July 3, 1966, a son of the late Charles and Berna Lashley.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Francis and Betty VanTuyl, and paternal grandparents, Joseph and Emma Lashley.
Mr. Lashley leaves behind two brothers, Shawn Lashley (Valerie Taylor), and Shannon Lashley (Anna Matheney); two nieces, Andrea Lashley (Alex Rusnak), and Laurana Jo Lashley; Scott also leaves one great nephew, Maddox Rusnak, whom he loved dearly; he also leaves behind many family members and close friends who he loved and cared for deeply.
Scott was a 1984 graduate of Meadowbrook High School and Guernsey – Noble Career Center. He was a long time employee of The Beckett House, and was currently employed at the Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center. He was a man of many hobbies, but enjoyed spending time with family, playing bingo, road trips, and the outdoors. His kind and gentle soul, and unmatched ability to make anyone laugh, will be greatly missed.
Calling hours for Scott will be held Tuesday from 12:00 – 2:00 pm at Black-Epperson Funeral Home in Byesville, where a private service will follow, with Pastor Randy Mercer officiating. Please follow COVID-19 guidelines, and wear a mask, if you plan to attend. Burial will be held in Buffalo Cemetery at a later date.
