Shawn “Grizz” Joseph Abrams, 43, of Kimbolton, died Wednesday (August 4, 2021) in Given WV.
He was born February 5, 1978 in Cambridge, son of Guss Abrams and Luann Sichina.
Mr. Abrams had formerly worked in the oil & gas industry as a compression mechanic. He was currently working as a tree trimmer. He was a 1996 graduate of Meadowbrook High School and went to GNCC for auto mechanics.
He loved spending time with his kids and watching them ride 4-wheelers. He enjoyed motorcycles, race cars, and hunting – especially coon hunting with his grandpa, Dutch. Grizz was well-known for his famous chili.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dutch and Joyce Sichina, and Henry Abrams.
He is survived by his father, Guss Abrams; his mother, Luann Sichina; a son, Andy; a daughter, Karlee “Miss Gabby”; three stepsons, Steven, Brandon, and Daniel; three stepdaughters, Kim, Hope, and Courtney (Kody); a brother, Justin (Teresa) Abrams; his paternal grandmother, Ethel Abrams; his father-in-law, Larry Rose; two grandchildren, Ari and Levi; a nephew, Conner; a niece, Kiersten; his wife, Karla Abrams; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday (August 11, 2021) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Dustin Dieke officiating.
