Sylvia Neuhart

Sylvia Neuhart, 85, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday (May 9, 2023) surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born April 27, 1938 to the late John and Esther (Rich) Snyder in Senecaville.  She was a 1956 graduate of Senecaville High School.

She was a member of the Stop 9 Church of Christ.

Sylvia was a wonderful mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed watching soap operas and the game show network, reading and spending time with her family. 

She is preceded in death by her husband John P. Neuhart, whom she married December 8, 1956 and who died July 26, 2014.  She is also preceded in death by her sons, James “Jimmy” Neuhart and Mark Neuhart; a granddaughter, Mikhaela Neuhart; and a great-grandson, Hudson Shriver. 

Sylvia is survived by her children, John P. Neuhart Jr., R. Eric (Lisa) Neuhart, and G. Brent (Stephanie) Neuhart; her grandchildren, Morgan Neuhart, Jesse (Sara) Neuhart, Brooke (Kyle) Hoag, Maria (Ethan) Shriver, Jam’e (Kyle Cox) Neuhart, Jessica Shivers, Erica (Adam) Day, Cole Neuhart and Layne Neuhart; her great-grandchildren, Sophie May, Allison Neuhart, Reagan Hoag, Haidyn Beros, Noah Shriver, Kolbi Cox, Chathan Morris, and twins Audrey and Emilia Day.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and her special furry friend, Baby.

The family would like to share a special thank you to her caregivers, Vicki Conrad and Christy Amburn, as well as the staff at Hospice of Guernsey for their care.

Visitation will be held Friday (May 12, 2023) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Senecaville, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Evan. Mark Beros officiating.

Burial will be at Senecaville Cemetery.
