Terrance "Terry" Dolan

Terrance “Terry” Dolan, 56, born in Cambridge, Ohio, died on July 8, 2023 in Orlando, Florida. He was born April 29, 1967 to Jean (Norman) Dolan and James Dolan.

Terry is survived by his children: Christina and Jeremy; his grandson Lleyton; his siblings: Joyce, Gary, Patty, Tommy, Pam, Rita, Rhonda, and Timmy; and countless other family and friends who loved him dearly - including the families of his late brothers Dave and Jimmy.

Terry’s parents passed when he was young, but he grew up in Buffalo, with siblings and family. Terry went to and graduated from Meadowbrook High School (class of ’85). He briefly attended The Ohio State University before moving to Florida in 1986, where he would marry Lori Finke and the two would have children, Christina and Jeremy. With the support of family, Terry spent most of the next few decades raising his kids, working 3 decades at The Walt Disney Company in Orlando. On a promise to his father, he took it upon himself to finish college, earning his bachelor’s degree in 2009.

Over the years, he spent what spare time he had playing tennis with his close friends. All who knew him knew that his favorite hobby was tennis—that is until his favorite hobby became being a grandfather to his “Little Monkey” or “Buddy,” Lleyton. He was known to drop everything or even cancel plans to be “Pappy” first. In ways seen and unseen, Terry has always been there to support his loved ones, brothers, sisters, children, and of course, grandson. For many of us, he was more than a loved one; he was our best friend, our confidant, and our go-to person for advice and guidance. 

A celebration of Terry’s life will be held on Sunday (July 23, 2023) at 11 a.m. at the Guernsey County Senior Center in Cambridge—lunch to be served thereafter. (Attire: Dress comfortably, as Terry would have wanted. Black/funeral attire not required.)
