Thomas Ivan Abrams

Thomas Ivan “Tom” Abrams, 71, of Byesville, passed away Friday (October 9, 2020) at Genesis Healthcare.

He was born December 16, 1948 in Zanesville and was the son of the late Thomas F. and Marjorie A (Vance) Abrams.

Tom was a 1967 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, and worked in the construction industry for many years.  He attended Dover Community Church, and was an Army veteran.  He was an NRA member, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching baseball (Braves), being outside; he loved animals, especially birds.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny and Larry.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Yolanda M. (Wright) Abrams whom he married August 16, 1969; one son Robert Thomas (Dawn) Abrams of Port Washington; one daughter Carmen Celeste Hunter of Byesville; three brothers, Lonnie Abrams of Byesville, Jerome (Rose) Abrams of Cambridge and Mike Abrams of Arkansas; grandchildren, Zachary Dakota (Samantha) Kirkman, Lacey Montana Kirkman, Paige Nicole Abrams, Madyson Belle Carlson, Quavan Smallwood, Maile Ersel Hunter, Mailen Celeste Hunter, Donovan Thomas Abrams, Solomon James Abrams and Elaina Fay Abrams; one great grandchild Miles Hunter Carlson.
