Troy Koval Obituary

Troy Michael Koval, 55, passed away on February 2, 2020 in Westerville, Ohio after a long battle with diabetes.

Troy was born on January 13, 1965. He graduated High School at Whetstone in Columbus, Ohio. 
He worked and helped run a successful family business, Koval Knives, located in New Albany, Ohio. Troy grew up in the business and worked most of his adult life until his parents passed in 2005. For the last 15 years, he worked for Rod’s Western Wear and Home Depot in Columbus, Ohio.
His interests included family, knife shows, knife making and cigars.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Judy (Wray) Koval; aunts, Charlotte (Wray) Whitehair  and  Shirley (Wray) Lake; uncle Carl Wray Jr.; grandparents,  Carl and Fay Wray Sr. and Michael and Mary Koval .

Troy is survived by a sister Tracy (Koval) Wallace and husband Craig Wallace; nephews, Tyler, Austin and Hunter Wallace; uncle, James Whitehair; aunts, Beverly (Koval) Moore and her husband Jim Moore, and Shirley (Koval) Dolan; and many cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at Black-Epperson Funeral Home 231 East Main Avenue, Byesville, Ohio 43723 on Saturday February 8, 2020. Calling hours will be 10:00 -11:30 a.m. where services will follow at 11:30. Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Troy’s name to: Rock City Church, PO Box 474 Hilliard OH  43026.
