Virginia Terry Obituary

Virginia “Jeanie” E. Terry, 89, of Cambridge, and former long-time resident of Buffalo, passed away Friday March 6, 2020 at the home of her daughter.

Jeanie was born November 26, 1930 in Guernsey County, a daughter to the late Raymond and Verna O’ Connor Saultz.

She worked at Cambridge Glass, and NCR, but was always a homemaker first. Jeanie was a graduate of Buffalo High School, a long-time member of the Buffalo United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school, and was the founder, and leader of the Buffalo Methodist Youth Fellowship (M.Y.F), a position that would enable her to mentor many children throughout the years. She enjoyed reading, sewing and quilting, animals, especially her dog Sara Bear, and spending time with her family, especially grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

Jeanie will always be remembered as a kind and gentle, loving soul.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Terry (12/2/2002), three sisters, Donna Stephenson, Elaine Wayt, and Avanell Saultz, a brother, Glenn Saultz.

Jeanie is survived by four sons, Randy (Chris) Brown, Barberton, Dana (Sandy) Brown, Pleasant City, Kenny (Mary) Brown, Akron, and Ret. LTC Joe (Elizabeth) Terry, Hot Springs, Ark., four daughter, Bonny (Michael) Mitchell, Buffalo, Sharon (Dan) Singleton, College Station, TX, Kim Nichols, Cambridge, and Steph (Jamie) O’Connell, Cambridge, 15 grandchildren, Michael, Jesse, Tiffany, Debbie, Tammy, Mike, Jennifer, Eric, Jake, Simon,  Jessica, Lauren, Megan, Krysten, and T.J., 17 great-grandchildren, Mikey, Trinity, Levi, Chazlyn, Wesley, Derrick, Connor, Emma, Lily, Abby, Liam, Emily, Amelia, Evelyn, Jack, Aubree, and Kaylee, two sister-in-laws, Marilyn Stephens, Zanesville, and Helen Saultz, New York, and many nieces, and nephews.

Calling hours for Jeanie will be held Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., and Thursday from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home in Senecaville, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:30, with Pastor Roger Morrow officiating.

Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.
