Wealtha McFarlane Obituary

Wealtha Marie (Gadd) McFarlane, 93, of Byesville passed away Wednesday (November 25, 2020) at Summit Acres Nursing Home.

 She was born January 24, 1927 in Noble County and was the son of the late Otto and Mary L. (Barnes) Gadd.

 Marie was a homemaker, a graduate of 1945 Byesville High School, and a member of Byesville Assembly of God.  She enjoyed playing the organ, cooking, baking, watching the Walton’s, Little House on the Prairie and Andy Griffith. 

 In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John McFarlane whom she married October 2, 1954 and passed away in 1986; infant sister Lucielle; brothers and sisters in law, Harold and Ruth, Richard and Ethel, Walden and Claire, Lionel and Marie, Kenny and Wuanita, and Ural and Blanche.

 Survivors include two daughters, Brenda (McFarlane) Blair and Joann (McFarlane) McIntire, both of Byesville; four grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren ; several nieces, nephews and cousins; best friends, Susie Reynolds and Mary Ann Babka.

 Marie’s family would like to thank the staff of Summit Acres, Absolute and Hospice for their kind and loving care.

 Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Byesville Assembly of God where services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Byesville Assembly of God.

Friends and family who want to attend are welcome, but due to Covid-19 guidelines MASKS ARE REQUIRED.  Please take all precautions to ensure your own safety and everyone else’s should you decide to attend.
