William James “Bill” Miles Jr., 64, of Cambridge passed away Friday (August 6, 2021) at his home.
He was born June 5, 1957 in Cambridge, son of Shirley (Nicholson) Miles of Cambridge and the late William James Miles Sr.
Bill was a 1975 graduate of Meadowbrook High School; he was employed with Champion (Federal Mogul) for 28 years as a Millwright Maintenance Supervisor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles, tinkering in the garage, drinking Busch Light in the garage, and making trails in the woods.
In addition to his father Bill was preceded in death by a grandson Rylan Kole Perez.
He is survived by his wife Olga Ramirez whom he married August 21, 2009; two sons, Jason (Misty) Miles and Chris (Andrea) Miles, both of Byesville; one daughter Carole Jean (Tylor) Sasser of Senecaville; step-daughters, Lydia (David) Landaker, Anita (Shawn) Durben and Margarita (Buddy) Umstott; step-son Kenny Loy; one sister Kathy Dilley of Cambridge; grandchildren, Kade and Ashton Miles, Cohen, Greyson and Weston Miles, Kolton and Paisley Perez, Anthony, Ashton, Alex, Hunter, Lyvia, and Savannah Landaker, Aubree and Jazlynne Loy, Arianna and Jaxon Umstott, and Bryson Loy, and a niece, Amanda Jean Dilley.
There is a lot that can be said about Bill Miles, some good and some bad, but in the end he was a son and a brother. One called him husband and three called him dad. Several called him grandpa, a few called him “asshole”, but many called him friend.
Time is the one thing you can’t get back, don’t waste it.
