William Williams Obituary

William A."Bill" Williams II, 73, passed away at his home in Byesville, Ohio surrounded by his loving family after a short battle with cancer on December 29, 2021.

 

He was born on May 11, 1948 in Clarksburg, WV, a son of the late William A. and Velma B. (Walker) Williams and graduated from Parkersburg South High School. He was a Christian by faith, a United States Army veteran, and retired from Amko after 26 years working various jobs as a Cryogenics Technician and Welding Supervisor. He was a devoted Nascar and Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed fishing, taking his boat out on the lake, working in his garage, and spending time with his wife and family.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother in law Bill "Willie" Queen.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Judith Ann (McCauley) Williams, son William A. Williams III (Tammy) of Mineral Wells, WV, daughter Melissa D. Galloway (Travis) of Walker, WV, sister Sanomia Jane Queen of Parkersburg, WV, first wife and mother of his children Maxine (Ault) Parsons of Parkersburg, WV, grandchildren Megan, Shayne, Sean, and Connor, nephew Russ Dawkins (Amanda), many extended family and friends, and his faithful dog Penny.

 

Per his wishes, he will be cremated with Black Epperson Funeral Home assisting the family with arrangements.

 

A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.

 

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Guernsey for their compassionate care and assistance.
