William "Earl" Milligan Sr.
Obituary
William “Earl” Milligan Sr., 79, of Derwent, passed away Tuesday (March 21, 2023) at his home.
He was born September 8, 1943 in North Canton OH, son of the late Walter “Jack” Milligan and Betty June (Young) Milligan.
Earl was a coal miner and an over-the-road truck driver for many years.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles, especially his Harley Trike, and going camping. He also enjoyed working on vehicles with his son, Billy.
Earl was a US Army veteran, having served from 1964 to 1970.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Ellen (Hupp) Milligan, who passed away September 4, 1999. They were married on August 17, 1974. Also deceased are two brothers, Jack Lee Milligan and Larry Milligan.
He is survived by a son, William E. Milligan Jr. of Derwent; a daughter, Toni (Milligan) Francis of Lowell; a brother, James Leroy Milligan of Byesville; his mother-in-law, Mary Hupp of Cambridge; three grandchildren, Ryan, Cheyenne, and Christin; and five great-grandchildren, Bailey, Cassius, Dalton, Penelope, and Bradley.
Visitation will be held Friday (March 24, 2023) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville.
